June 2024 was an exciting and fulfilling month.
I had a great time being part of Liverpool Architecture Festival (#LAF24) as a committee member, volunteer and marketing intern – it allowed me an opportunity to dedicate my energy and skills towards a good cause.
As a volunteer and attendee, I participated in events like Redbridge Quay Building Tour in Wirral, Sandcities at Crosby Beach, Gardening in the city, Drafts and Draughts, Architecture Social and others.
My favourite bit was the ‘#LAF24 Architecture Showcase’ – An exhibition space that showed Architectural talent from local offices to the public. It was inspiring and exciting to see the range of work exhibited through drawings and models. It also acted as the Festival Hub and here I had the opportunity to meet sponsors, organisers, participants and visitors.
Overall, I’m thankful for the social interactions made with the community in Liverpool, new friendships and connections, the creative activities and learning offered through #LAF24.
