#LAF24 Collaboration

Graphic Designer/Marketing Intern

Storytime – My involvement with the Liverpool Architecture Foundation CIC! (LAF)

I joined LAF in February this year as a committee member and got involved in the foundation’s cause to deliver Liverpool Architecture Festival (#LAF24) with the theme ‘Neighbourhood’- i.e. organising free events for community engagement in all the boroughs of Liverpool.

I applied for the Marketing Internship posted for the festival and was taken on board in May. As a marketing intern with design insights, these were some of the tasks I worked on with the Foundation:

• Website design for #LAF24
• research and collate information to understand social engagement practices
• correspond with the Festival Sponsors and prepare promotional posters and videos
• Prepare event graphics such as event posters and videos for Digital Marketing, and maintain an active account of daily events on social media
• Published an Augmented Reality (AR) effect on the Instagram account for an interactive experience for Festival Branding

Website Design to effectively visualise all events of #LAF24
– Scheduled and managed social for daily engagement through posts/stories
– Prepared event posters

I couldn’t have performed my tasks without the guidance of Mathew Giles, Elizabeth Edge and Ffion Roberts – the Directors of LAF. Thank you for having me around – I’ve learnt a lot through this role.

It was a pleasure to showcase #LAF24 through its successful course and gain appeal, considering the immense value it brought to its participants, volunteers and committee throughout the Festival. I’m thankful and proud to be a part of this great cause and team!

I’m already looking forward to #LAF26!
